I've always been a storyteller at heart. Though for a long time, I didn't give myself permission to say that out loud.

Growing up as the daughter of Chinese immigrants, I was raised on the values of hard work, practicality, and stability. So I did what so many children of immigrants do: I followed the safe path. I built a career in corporate America. First in auditing at a Big 4 firm, then in HR, and checked every box I was supposed to check. But underneath it all, I was the girl filming camcorder videos at every family gathering, the one in ballet classes and piano lessons, filling sketchbooks just because. Creativity wasn't something I snuck off to do, it was always simply part of me. And yet, like so many children of immigrants, when I dared to imagine making it my career, the answer was no. So I folded that part of myself quietly away, and did what was expected instead.

For years I quietly carried that gap, chasing security while craving something more meaningful, more me.

Then came 2025. I planned my own wedding and fell completely, unexpectedly in love with the world of weddings - the infectious joy, the details, all the effort to create one magical day in celebration of love. Not long after, I was laid off from the safe, stable career I had spent years building. And instead of running back to what was familiar, I finally chose myself. I leaned fully into content creation.

But even then, something was still missing. Creating content felt right, but I wanted it to mean something. I wanted to show up in service of someone, on the most important day of their life.

The answer had been in front of me all along.

The morning after my own wedding, still wrapped in post-wedding bliss, I found myself endlessly scrolling through guests' uploads, desperate to relive the day I had planned for so long, that passed by like a fever dream.

It wasn't until I fully immersed myself in content creation that everything clicked. I married my love of storytelling with my love of weddings, and I knew, without a question, that this was exactly where I am meant to be.

And so Lovely Moments was born - out of longing, out of love, and out of finally coming home to myself.

Now I get to do for you what I wish someone had done for me: capture every beautiful, silly, emotional, in-between moment of your wedding day, so you can relive it immediately, and never wonder what you missed.
